I did that. Just tell me what SFC version you want, and I will provide. Do I need WZ's permission to distribute a two nacelle Mars class?

I'd get it to be on the safe side.

It's fine by me. I actually left the engines/pylons un-welded to the rest of the ship for just that purpose.

Why do I get the feeling that you actually make your models to be pretty much the easiest ones to bash? Just making an observation.

Well, I wouldn't go that far. Some of my ships aren't engineered for kitbashing while others are. It's kind of 50/50 and depends on my own opinion of the model and it's uses and what could or couldn't be done with the design.
Like the cannons on the Bellicose - I figured some might not agree with that detail so I didn't weld them onto the bridge in case people wanted to delete them. The same goes for the Mars engines, and various other models and parts.
Also, sometimes I have to weld the parts to prevent getting shadows/black outlines where the segments intersect. That isn't normally a problem but on occasion a ship does have a lot of those bugs. It also helps define intersection points, making it easier to texture the ship by knowing where parts connect and keeping texture details from overlapping.

Ahhh ok. Then that would explain why I didn't have problems with those bashes I did of your ships. Cool.
