What would cause a ship to tear itself apart at the seems when being ported? The ship is a kitbash. I had to go and re-weld every single vert of the ship, vert by vert, and then when exported, the verts would separate again.
Thoughts?

It's a kitbash, and the programs I'm using are MAX 9 and MAX 5, but the kitbash I had remapped by someone, and he uses Blender.
He also unified the mesh.

That sounds like a new one on me too, I don't think I've ever seen it happen before.
Although I've no experience of blender, I switch between max 9 and 5 to convert to mod. Occasionally, once the model is exported to mod, faces will invert and smoothing groups will get messed up, or the model may even shrink for no apparent reason, but I've always been able to go in and fix those problems.
